Math Tutor
Are you considering a teaching career or do you just like helping others? TAEC is hiring math tutors to join our team for academic year 2024-2025. If you are passionate about math and are good at explaining concepts, we have the job for you!! Currently, tutors are needed in:
- Mathematics (must be qualified, As is all courses through Math 253)

Pay: Min. $16.00 /hour
Hours: flexible
Tutors will work in the TAEC on the 4th floor of the Knight Library for the majority of the scheduled hours.

Position Qualifications
Successful applicants will
- be enrolled at UO for at least an 8-credit hours
- have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- have earned at least an A in courses you wish to tutor
- math tutors must be able to tutor through Math 253
- can secure two faculty recommendations
- demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- be committed to fostering equitable and inclusive environments
- be motivated to collaborate within the tutoring team
Preferred qualifications:
- experience as a teaching assistant, tutor, or peer mentor
- proficiency using Zoom and Teams
