UGST 101: Intro to University Study

Learn, adapt, and apply effective study skills, including strategies for time management, note taking, reading comprehension, and test preparation. The first class of the week will focus on a topic and strategies while the second with be active application of these strategies. 

Three sections are offered: 

  •  CRN 26806– MW 2-2:50p

UGST 199: Mindful Student

Students learn the reflective activity of mindfulness meditation and how to connect its practices to the active and practical strategies needed to achieve success in university life.

UGST 199: Studying Science

Studying Science is designed to improve students’ understanding of materials and study strategies in the sciences. Through regular assignments, students will have the opportunity to practice new strategies in current courses. Students will explore an area of interest and develop science literacy skills through a final project. This course is best taken alongside a science or math course.
