 › Small-Group Tutoring
Available fall, winter and spring terms.

Groups of six or fewer students meet two hours per week, beginning the second week each term. Stop by our office in the Knight Library – 4th floor as soon as possible to discuss your eligibility with Kim Lilley, Tutor Coordinator. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-serve basis, and space is limited.

Tutorial support is available for these courses:

MATH 101
MATH 111, 112
MATH 241, 242, 243
MATH 251, 252, 253

To participate in these groups register at the Tutoring and Academic Engagement Center, Knight Library – 4th floor. If you need assistance in courses other than those listed above, registry printouts are available that list qualified tutors and their telephone numbers. There is no charge for this printout.


› One-on-One Tutoring
Find a private tutor.

Our database is a great source for finding tutors for math courses. Beginning the second week of the term, we’ll provide the contact information, then you make the arrangements. Fees range $12-14 per hr. for lower-division and $14-16 per hr. for upper-division courses.


› Courses

TLC 199: Functions of Algebra / Math 111: College Algebra
This is a two-term version of Math 111. During winter term, TLC 199 covers the first 60% of the Math 111 curriculum. Upon successful completion, students are authorized to sign up for a designated spring-term section of Math 111. Instructor approval required. 1 credit winter, 4 credits spring.
